Here is what I came up with for VIP6. And what a great VIP theme. I had about 7 different designs going befor I settled on my 6 limbed warrior. The inspiration for this guy I got from a bumper sticker I saw in traffic. The design on the bumper sticker was not of an invertibrate but it had wild windblown hair and it got me thinking of how I could incorporate that look into my VIP design. so after about 10 sketches I finalized this guy. My sculpt does not have hair as wild as I wanted. But thanks to the dead line I am sticking with it the way it is. :)

Another bug! This one's more cute than creepy. He has a cartoon
quality to him that reminds me of "A Bug's Life" from
Disney/Pixar (yikes, my second Disney reference!). Nothing wrong
with this though. I'd have a blast painting him. Something
about his nose and mane of hair reminds me of a lion too. My
only real criticism is that the connection of his legs to the
torso looks tenuous. That's a pegging job if I ever saw one.

I agree with the comment that this guy is kinda cute! He seems
to be lacking an abdomen... The eyes are o.k., but might be
better if we could see the detail of the composite/compound eye
that insects generally have. If the intent was for these eyes
not to be compound/composite, then they are just too big (hence
the comment about it being too "cute"). There could be more
detail on the weapon, but I guess that's totally subjective. I
tend to find that people's eyes focus on weapons and try to give
weapons a coolness factor when I can.

This guy reminds me of a cartoon character, I don’t recall from
where.
I like the design idea, a menacing looking bug is quite hard to
do and I
Think you’ve done a good job.

Is the what happens when aphids fight back? Ladybugs watch out.
Your design is good. I just can't go for hair on a bug, but that
is just me. I would suggest adding some greenstuff to the edges
of the hair and teasing the edges up to get that windblown look
you were seeking.
