I really couldn't figure out how to paint this one, even though I started kicking around ideas before the mini arrived. Finally I decided to just sit down with it and put some paint on it and see where that led.

When that didn't work I decided to make him into "king of the orcs" or some such nonsense. So I decided to use gold and bronze for most of the armor and have the horns be his crown (I used Reaper's Brass for it over a light brown base). For his fur, I used Ral Partha Cleric Brown with a Dark Brown wash- I decided to go with brown fur so that it would be pretty different from the green skin.

I painted the little skulls as some kind of totems to help in battle. For the cape, red was the only thing that seemed to fit with the rest of the scheme...
